WBPSC WBCS Prelims Admit Card 2023. WB Civil Services Executive Branch all groups selection process and exam scheme @ wbpsc.gov.in

West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) is going to conduct its preliminary examination of the West Bengal Civil Services (WBCS) Executive Branch. The exam will be conducted in the month of June 2023 (Tentative).

The commission activated the registration link on the official website on 28 February 2023. The last date to apply for this examination is 21 March 2023.

The exam is being conducted for all Groups- A, B, C & D in the Executive Branch. The WBPSC WBCS Admit Card for Preliminary Exam will be released on the official website in the month of June 2023. Candidates can download it by using the information filled in during the application.

The examination will be conducted in 26 different cities and a different centre can be allotted to the candidate by the commission in case of unavailability of the centre opted for by the candidate. The number of vacancies in each group has not been released on the portal. 

There is an excellent piece of news for candidates who have made some mistakes in the application form. The commission will open an edit window from 31 March 2023 to 6 April 2023. This can only be availed by a candidate once and no changes will be made after this time frame.

Selection Process

The aspirants will have to go through three procedures before finally getting selected for the job they applied for. The first step is the Preliminary written examination where all the questions are MCQ type. The next is the Mains examination which has both MCQ type and Conventional Type questions. The last stage is the Personality test/ Interview.

All the stages are connected. To move to the next stage the previous examination should be cleared. The candidates who have cleared all three phases will be required to appear before a medical board for certificates of their fitness for Government Service in the form prescribed for the purpose.

West Bengal Civil Services Exam Pattern

a) Preliminary examination – The exam has eight sections to check general knowledge and knowledge about the subject of the candidate.  The time given for the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The exam consists of 200 objective multiple-choice questions.

  1. Open the official website of the West Bengal Public Service Commission @wbpsc.gov.in.
  2. Go to the call letter section on the homepage.
  3. Click on the “Download admit card” tab.
  4. Click on the link WBPSC WBCS Admit Card.
  5. Fill in your registration details.
  6. Download it and take a printout.
