IES & ISS Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants who wish to apply for IES must have a Post-Graduate Degree in Bussiness Economics/ Applied Economics/ Economics / Econometrics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.
• Those candidates will apply for ISS should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics / Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master’s degree in Statistics / Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.

The minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years as on 01 August 2023. Moreover, applicants must have been born between 2 August 1993 to 1 August 2002. Relaxation in the upper age limit is also provided for SC/ST categories and Ex-Servicemen for 5 years and for OBC & PWD candidates is 3 years.

UPSC Application Fee

Those candidates who belong to SC/ST, physically disabled persons and female applicants are exempted to pay any application fee. Other applicants belonging to the General, OBC and EWS categories are required to pay ₹200/- registration fee.

The application fee can be paid by using the Visa / Master/ RuPay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI Payment and through the Internet banking system.
