UGC NET Result: National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the final answer key of the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test also known as UGC NET December and June exams. The agency will declare the results of the test soon.
UGC NET Result 2022 will be available on NTA websites, ugcnet.nta.nic.in respectively. Candidates will be able to check their respective results by filling in the application registration number and date of birth. Also, the scorecard will be issued to the qualified candidates on the same website.
UGC NET is the examination for determining eligibility for the post of assistant professor and Junior Research Fellowship award in Indian universities and colleges. The exam is conducted by National Testing Agency on behalf of University Grants Commission. Until July 2018, CBSE conducted the UGC NET exam. Since December 2018, NTA is the official conducting body and organizing the exam twice a year in the months of June and December in online mode.

After qualifying the National Eligibility Test (NET) candidates are determined eligible for lectureship and awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. The Test is conducted for various subjects including Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.
UGC NET Qualifying Criteria
UGC NET qualifying marks for unreserved categories are 40% in papers I and II while the qualifying marks for reserved categories are 35% in Papers I and II.
For lectureship, the cut-off marks for the unreserved categories are between 54 and 60, for other categories such as OBC NCL it is 49–56, for SC/ST it is 45–54 and for EWS it is 48–58 (for all subjects).
The top 6% of candidates will be selected for eligibility for NET Lectureship. A separate list for JRF would be prepared.
UGC NET Scorecard Download – Validity
As and when the UGC NET Result is declared, the qualified candidates will be issued UGC NET Scorecards. On the scorecard, essential details will be mentioned including the Candidate’s Name, passing year, category, subject-wise marks etc. Candidates will be able to download it from the official website. Also, the organization will send it to the candidate’s address by post.
The validity of a UGC NET Certificate will be a lifetime. As mentioned in the conditions, a candidate can appear in the exam many times to improve his/her marks.
