Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has successfully organised the CESSE written test on 27 May 2023 in 15 examination centres across the state. The CESSE is also known as Combined Engineering Subordinate Services Examination. Lakhs of applicants who want to join Government jobs in multiple departments of Tamil Nadu participated in the written test.
Through the exam, the Commission will be filled up vacancies in Department such as Overseer / Junior Draughting Officer in the Rural & Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Junior Draughting Officer in the Highways Department, Junior Draughting Officer in Public Works Department, Draughtsman, Grade – 3 in Town and Country Planning Department, Foreman, Grade-II in Tamil Nadu Small Industries Corporation Limited.
The TNPSC CESSE Results will be announced by the TNPSC on its official webpage. It is expected that the CESSE Exam Results will be published in the month of July 2023.

After the declaration of the result, 1083 vacancies will be filled up in multiple departments of Tamil Nadu. Those examinees who participated in the written test can check their results online on the Commission site.
CESSE Exam Overview
- The CESSE exam contained two papers.
- The duration of each paper was 3 hours.
- In each paper, 200 objective types of questions were given by the TNPSC.
- Paper 1 carried 300 total marks & on the other side, paper 2 carried 150 marks.
- The exam was organised in offline mode (OMR-based test).
Expected Cut-off Marks of CESSE Written test
The cut-off score list will be prepared on the basis of the applicant’s performance in the test. The cut-off marks depend on the number of examinees who appeared in the exam, paper level & number of vacancies. The expected cut-off marks according to different categories have been mentioned below:
