It is a better opportunity for those jobseekers who wish to join a government job in the Prison department of Tamil Nadu state. Before applying for jailor jobs, applicants go through the eligibility criteria and selection procedure of the commission.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants have passed their 10th/12th/or its equivalent qualification with minimum qualifying marks from any recognized boards of the state. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent qualification from any recognized university.

The aspirants should not be less than 18 years old of age and not more than 32 years of age. The minimum age is equal for all categories and in the upper age limit the age relaxation will be provided as per the government rules for categories like SC, SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC, BCM and Destitute Widows. The maximum age limit for Ex-servicemen is 50 years fixed by the authority.

Those candidates who are physically or mentally fit will only apply for the Prison department job. The physical criteria have been explained below:

Application Fee

The application fee for the written examination is ₹100/- for general candidates. The applicants must have to complete the One-Time Registration by paying the registration fee of ₹150. Aspirants who belong to reserved categories do not need to pay any examination fee.
