Staff Selection Commission is conducting the recruitment for Scientific Assistant posts under Group B in India Meteorological Department (IMD). The application submission process for the above posts has been completed on 20 October. Now the commission will conduct the written examination for the posts.
A computer-based test is likely to be conducted in December 2022. However, the commission has not yet released any timetable related to the exam date. Along with the announcement of the exam date, the commission will release the admit card release date and instructions.

SSC Scientific Assistant Exam Scheme & Paper Pattern
- The Commission will conduct a Computer Based Examination comprising 200 questions carrying 200 marks for two hours duration.
- The candidates will be required to attempt both Part-I and Part II of the examination. Part II of the examination will be on the basis of the subject opted in the online application form.
- The examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only.
- The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for questions in English
Language & Comprehensions. - There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the examination.

SSC Scientific Assistant Admit Card Details & Instructions
SSC Scientific Assistant Admit cards will be released online on the official website only. The commission will not send any admit cards to the candidate’s address. Aspirants need to download and print the admit cards themselves.
The call letter will comprise essential details including the name, category, date of birth and photograph of the candidate. The examination centre name and exam timings will be mentioned on it. Therefore, candidates must check the admit card properly.
In addition, the candidates are required to produce an id card with an identical photograph on it along with the SSC Scientific Assistant Admit Card print. A valid photo id proof may be among Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Driving License, Voter’s ID Card, Bank Passbook with photo etc.
