Staff Selection Commission will conduct Tier-1 Computer-based Test for Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL Tier-1) Exam in Feb-March 2023. The notification for the examination is released on the official website of SSC. The TIER 1 exam will be conducted from 09 March to 21 March 2023 as CBT.
For the examination, SSC will release SSC CHSL Admit Card to the eligible candidates on its website. The link to download admit card will be available at least 4-5 days before the examination date. The exam city details will be released at least 20 days before the scheduled date.
Candidates can download the admit card from the official SSC website by entering their registration number and date of birth. It is important to note that the admit card will not be sent through post or email.
The Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam is a national-level examination conducted by the SSC for recruiting candidates for various Group C posts viz. Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc. The application registration for CHSL Examination is completed by the authority on 04 January 2023.

Lakhs of candidates participate in the SSC CHSL (10+2) Level exam every year. The qualified candidates are appointed to various ministries, departments and offices of the government of India. SSC CHSL (10+2 Level) Exam Scheme and Paper Pattern
SSC CHSL Exam will be conducted in two different phases as mentioned below:
- SSC CHSL Tier-1 Exam is an Objective Multiple Choice Question paper
- SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam includes the following three sections having two modules each.

Examination Scheme – SSC CHSL Tier 1 and Tier 2 Exams will be conducted according to the following examination scheme.
- In the exam, there will be 100 MCQs on different subjects.
- Each question will be of two marks.
- The duration of the test will be one hour (60 minutes).

Tier II will be conducted in two sessions i.e. Session –I & Session II, on the same day. Session-I will include conducting Section-I, Section II and Module-I of Section III. Session II will include conducting Module II of Section-III.
It will be mandatory for the candidates to qualify for all the sections of Tier II.
