The Sashastra Seema Bal recently issued a recruitment notification on its official site for the post of Head Constable in various trades. As per the notification, a total of 914 vacancies will be filled up in SSB as Head constable (Electric, Mechanic, Steward, Veterinary & Communication) in Group C.
The SSB will only accept the online application form & other modes of application will be rejected. The online application form commenced on 20 May 2023. Eligibility Criteria for SSB Head Constable
Applicants must have passed their matriculation or its equivalent qualification from any recognised board. Along with this, candidates have a diploma certificate in their relevant trade and have one or two-year job experiences in the same trade.
For the post of HC (Veterinary & Communication), aspirants must have cleared 12th class with science subjects from any recognised board of state and centre. Moreover, one year of experience in the veterinary hospital for the Veterinary Head constable post. For the HC communication post, applicants must have three years diploma in Electronics & Communication or computer science from a recognised IT institute.
The minimum age limit for these posts is 18 years and the maximum age is 25 years except Mechanic post. For mechanic posts, the maximum age limit is 27 years. Age relaxation is also provided for those candidates who belong to SC/ST/Ex-servicemen categories as per the govt. rules.
Application Fee
The application fee for the Unreserved/EWS and OBC categories is ₹100 rupees & it is non-refundable. Applicants who belong to SC/ST/Ex-servicemen and female candidates are not required to pay the application fee. The examination fee will be paid through Net-banking, and credit card/debit card methods.
