The South East Central Railway has released the application form for the post of Apprentice in various trades on their authorised portal. The number of vacancies is 548 which is mentioned in the advertisement and these vacant posts will be filled up in the Bilaspur Division of SECR.
It is a better opportunity for matric pass candidates who wish to join the Railway department in various trades such as Carpenter, COPA, Draftsman (Civil), Electrician, Fitter, Plumber, Mechanic, Welder, Digital Photographer and other various posts. The online application form commenced on 03 May 2023 and will be closed on 03 June 2023.

As per the official notification, the selected person will undergo one year of training period as an apprentice for each trade and the salary will be paid as per the rule of the State Government of Chattisgarh.
Eligibility Criteria For Apprentice
Applicants must have passed 10th/12th or its equivalent qualification from any recognized board. Along with this, candidates have passed ITI courses in relevant trades from a recognized institution.
The aspirants should not be below 15 years of age and must not be completed 24 years of age as on 01 July 2023. The age relaxation is provided to reserved categories such as for SC/ST candidates 05 years, OBC 3 years and for Ex-Serviceman & PWD aspirants 10 years of upper age relaxation is provided.
Apprentice Selection Process
For the selection of the applicants, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the 10th class and the ITI exam giving equal weightage to both. The shortlisted candidates will invite for the document verification and a medical certificate is essential to bring along with all original documents.
