Rajasthan Eligibility Exam for Teachers (REET) was recently conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER). The exam was conducted for 3rd-grade Primary Level-1 and Upper Primary Level-2 Teachers. The exams started on 25 February 2023 and came to a conclusion on 28 February  2023.

The candidates started filling out the application form on 21 December 2022. The last date for the registration process as well as for the application fee was 30 January 2023.

The candidates are now waiting for the 3rd Grade  Teacher Result 2023 as the provisional answer key for the level- 1 and level- 2 exams is released.

The candidates who clear the RSMSSB Primary Teacher Exam (REET) will be considered for the post when a vacancy is released by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education or by a private institution.

As the vacancies were quite a lot hence more than 4.5 lakh candidates applied which made the test more competitive. Exams centres were made in 35 cities for the convenience of the candidates.

Exam Level and Analysis

Level- 1 examination is conducted for primary teachers and level- 2 for upper primary teachers. Candidates who wish to apply for the posts will have to appear for both examinations. Level- 1 & 2 comprises a test of 150 questions but the exam pattern of the levels is different.

For the level- 1 exam each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark and the time given for the examination is 2 hours and 20 minutes. For level- 2 there are questions carrying 1 mark and 2 marks depending on the subject. The time given for the examination is 150 minutes.

REET Expected Cut-off and Merit List

The cut-off marks are set by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. The candidates need to score more than or equal to the minimum passing marks. The board set the cut-off depending on the number of candidates who appeared in the examination, exam level, the highest score obtained by the candidate, the lowest score obtained by the candidate, the number of vacancies etc. all of it varies each year hence the cut-off varies but not by a lot.
