Railway Recruitment Cell has released a notification for the recruitment and engagement of Apprentices in different trades. Selected candidates will be appointed at various Divisions, Workshops within the jurisdiction of Western Railways for the year 2023-2024.
According to the Notification No. RRC/WR/01/2023 Apprentice released on 21/06/2023, the opening date of application registration is 27 June 2023. Desirous candidates can register for these apprentice posts till 26 July 2023. Through this recruitment drive, the RRC will fill up 3624 slots for Training in the designated Trades.

RRC WR Apprentice Recruitment – Eligibility Details
- Educational Details – Matriculate or 10th Class in 10+2 examination system with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized Board.
- Technical Qualifications – ITI certificate affiliated with NCVT/SCVT is compulsory in relevant trade.
The Applicants should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as of 26 July 2023. Age relaxation details are as follows:
- SC/ST/OBC– Relaxation in Upper age limit by 05 years in case of SC/ST applicants and 03 years in case of OBC Applicants.
- Persons with Disability (PWD) – Upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.
- Ex-servicemen – Upper age limit is relaxed upto 10 years for ex-servicemen.
RRCWR Apprenticeship Selection Process
- Candidates must note that there is no written examination for the selection of eligible students for RRC WR Apprentice Recruitment.
- Students will be selected based on the merit list which would be prepared by taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the Applicants in both Matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
- In case of two Applicants having the same marks the Applicants having older age shall be preferred.
RRC Western Railway Apprentice Recruitment – Application Fee
For RRC WR Apprenticeship posts, applicants are required to pay an application fee online only. The application fee is non-refundable and for various categories, it is as:
- For General/OBC: ₹100/-
- For ST/SC/Female: ₹0/-
