Update on Exam
Punjab Government has cancelled the exam conducted on 12 March. There were instances when answers were printed on several question papers which surfaced on the internet by the evening.
The exam was conducted by a third party- Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU). The university will conduct a re-exam without charging any fees. The date for the PSTET re-exam will be notified in due course of time.
The State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) Punjab has conducted the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test for the post of Primary teacher and upper primary teachers. It was organized on Sunday, 12 March 2023.
Though the earlier TET exam was only necessary to become a teacher in an institute run by the government nowadays a lot of private institutes also hire teachers based on their TET score.
After 2-3 days of the exam, a PSTET Answer key will be published on the official website. All the examinees can access it from the portal. Our team will also provide the link to access it on this website.
PSTET Paper 1 is conducted for the aspirants of Primary Classes while paper 2 is for Elementry Classes of 6 to 8.

The answer key is a necessary step as candidates can check their answers and can get a rough idea about their scores and whether they will be able to clear the cut-off or not. As the exam was OMR-based, hence it won’t take a lot of time to publish the PSTET Answer key. The applicants were registered from 18 February to 2 March 2023.
PSTET Answer Key- For objections
A provisional answer key will be published first. Any candidate who has doubts regarding the answer key or according to a candidate an answer is wrong, he/she can raise an objection and submit it online. The time period for it is limited so make sure to keep an eye on it. Once the time period expires, you will not be able to submit any objections via e-mail or any other method.
Once all the objections are quelled, then a final answer key will be published after the provisional answer key was scrutinized again for incorrect answers. A selected list of candidates will be published based on the scores they obtained in the written examination.
The candidates who will clear the written exam will be able to participate in the recruitment for schools in Punjab.
