Punjab SCERT and PSEB are going to conduct the Teachers Eligibility Test on 12 March 2023. The paper for both levels i.e. Level 1 and Level 2 will be held on the same day in different shifts. Candidates will be intimated about their exam timings on their respective admit cards.
Shiksha Sansthan Parishad Punjab will release the PSTET Admit Cards on the official website at least four days before the written exam. Eligible candidates will be able to download the same through the provided link by filling in the application number and date of birth.

The education board conducts the State Teachers Eligibility Test for Primary Level and Elementary Level every year. Paper 1 is conducted for JBT Level i.e. Classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is conducted for Classes 6 to 8.
For the year 2023, the education board invited applications from eligible candidates in February. The selected candidates will be appointed to the state government schools to teach classes from 1st to 8th. Online applications were accepted from 18 February to 28 February.
PSTET Exam Pattern 2023 – Exam Scheme
All questions in PSTET Paper 1 & Paper 2 will be Multiple Choice Based Questions (MCQs). The paper will be OMR based. The candidates need to mark one appropriate option. Each question will be of one mark and there is no negative marking in the exam.
There will be the following two papers in the PSTET:
- Paper-I will be for an aspirant who wants to apply for a teacher post for standard I to V.
- Paper-II will be for an aspirant who wants to apply for a teacher’s position for standards VI to VIII.
