The Odisha Public Service Commission is expected to hold a written exam for the preliminary phase on 16 October 2022. The official schedule will be posted on the commission’s website shortly.
The State’s five district headquarters will host the preliminary test. Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, and Sambalpur are the locations where the test will be taken.
At least 10 days before the exam, the OPSC OAS/ OCS Admit Cards for the concerned students will be posted on the official website. The Commission will not be sending any paper copies of the Odisha Civil Services Admit Card, thus aspirants are recommended to download and print one off online.

OPSC OCS Exam Scheme – Paper Pattern
The Commission will perform the examination in two shifts over the course of one day. To advance to the next level, the concerned applicants must participate in both shifts and get passing grades on both examinations.
Paper 1 will be administered in shift 1 in the morning, while paper 2 will be presented during shift 2.
Two papers will make up the preliminary exam. Each paper will be of the objective kind (Multiple Choice Questions). A candidate must score at least 33 per cent of the possible marks on General Studies Paper-II in order to advance to the next round.
The only applicants who will have their paper 1 sheets examined are those who received a 33 per cent on paper 2.
- General Studies Paper 1 – 200 Marks
- General Studies Paper 2 – 200 Marks
Paper 1 will have 100 questions while paper 2 carries 80 questions based on general studies.
Odisha OCS Admit Card Details
The OPSC OCS Admit Card must be printed properly and brought with you when you take the test, thus applicants must do this. Along with the online printed admit card, permission certificate, or admission letter.
Candidates are recommended to present a valid picture ID card (original and photocopy). A candidate will not be allowed to take the exam if they do not have these documents with them.
