State Council for Educational Research & Training (SCERT), Odisha is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for two-year D.El.Ed. Course for the academic session, 2023-2025. The authority conducts a computer-based entrance exam every year in order to shortlist the aspirants for admission to two year’s Odisha D.El.Ed course in various institutions of Odisha.
Through this entrance test, students are offered admission in 30 DIETs, 04 BIETs, 31 Government Elementary Teacher Education Institutions (ETEIs), 02 Government Elementary Teacher Education Institutions and 01 Non-Government Aided Secondary Training School managed by a Minority Community of the State.
All willing students are required to register online and clear the entrance test in order to get eligible for admission to Odisha D.El.Ed course. After completing a degree course in D.El.Ed, the candidates can pursue their careers as a teacher in elementary schools in Odisha.
The registration of online applications started on 05 April 2023. The last date to complete the online application registration is 30 April. Thereafter, to shortlist the eligible students, the organization will conduct a competitive test which will be announced on the official website accordingly.

SCERT Odisha D.El.Ed. Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary / +2 Examination in Arts / Science / Commerce or its equivalent examination from recognized Boards / Councils (the candidates shall have to submit an equivalent certificate from the competent authority) with a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate (45% of mark in aggregate in case of SC, ST, SEBC and PH candidates) excluding marks secured in extra optional.
The candidates who have appeared in their final year Higher Secondary / +2 Examinations in Arts / Science / Commerce or its equivalent examination from recognized Boards / Councils are also eligible to apply.

SCERT Odisha D.El.Ed. Application Fee Details
- General and SEBC categories – ₹500 (Rupees Five Hundred)
- SC and ST categories – ₹300.00 (Rupees Three Hundred) only)
The candidates have to pay a convenience fee and GST extra as applicable per the application form. The candidates are required to make the payment through a Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / Cash Deposit in Axis Bank only.
