Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has released notification for Class 6 Admission in Navodaya Vidyalayas for the academic session 2023-24. JNV Selection Test for admission to Class-VI in JNVs for the academic session 2023-24 will be held on Saturday, 29th April 2023. The application registration started on 02 January 2023. The last date for application registration is 31 January 2023.
Currently, 649 Vidyalayas are functional in 27 States and 08 Union Territories. Only the bonafide resident candidates from the district
concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been located are eligible to apply for admission. The applications can be submitted through online mode only at the official website i.e. navodaya.gov.in respectively.

A candidate appearing for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the whole of the academic session in a Government/ Government aided or other recognized school or ‘B’ certificate competency courses of the National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where he/she is seeking admission.
The candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to class V before 31st July of the session in which he/she is applying for the selection test is not eligible to apply. The candidate who has already passed/studied class V in all previous academic sessions is not eligible to appear in the selection test.
A candidate seeking admission must be within the age group of 10 to 12 years. This is applicable to candidates of all categories, including those who belong to the Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs). The provisionally selected candidate has to produce a copy of the birth certificate issued by the Government authority concerned at the time of admission.
A single test booklet comprising the following three sections will be given to each candidate.

- Language Test
