The government of Maharashtra holds the MPSC test to fill vacancies in a wide variety of government offices. The MPSC test is given annually in both English and Marathi. Prelims Exam

The Prelims Exam of MPSC consists of two Objective type papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II.

  • Exams for the MPSC will consist of two papers, each worth 200 points.
  • Each paper is to be written during a 2-hour time period.
  • One-fourth of a mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • Each question comes with an English and a Marathi translation.
  • Candidates are selected to take the MPSC Rajyaseva Mains Exam based on their combined scores from both Papers.

The candidates who secure the minimum passing marks in both papers of the Prelims Test will be invited to take the MPSC State Service Mains Exam.

  • The Mains Exam for the MPSC State Service consists of six sections.
  • Papers 1 and 2 of the test are both language-based.
  • The second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth MPSC papers are all General Studies exams covering a wide range of topics.
  • The test will consist of multiple-choice questions.
  • Each erroneous response will result in a reduction of one-quarter of a dedicated mark.
  • The cutoff for each paper on the MPSC main exam is 45 for those in the General category and 40 for those in the reserved categories.

MPSC State Service Hall Ticket – Details & Instructions

MPSC State Service Hall Tickets will only be made available online. At least two weeks prior to the exam date, candidates will be able to access the official website to get their admission cards.

The printout of the MPSC State Service Hall Ticket will include the candidate’s name, photo, category, position title, and date of birth. Applicants must double-check the information printed on their hall tickets. It is imperative that any errors be reported to the commission’s headquarters well in advance of the scheduled exam date.

Candidates must provide a printout of their hall ticket, two passport-sized colour photos, and an original and a copy of their identification proof. The following items are all examples of acceptable photographic identification:
