Maharashtra Public Service Commission conducted the preliminary examination for the posts of Sales Tax Inspector, Police Sub-Inspector, Assistant Section Officer etc. under Group B Services in the state on 8 October. Further, the commission is going to organize the main exam on 31^st December. So it is expected that the MPSC Group B Result for Preliminary Exam may be declared in November 2022.

The respective recruitment was advertised in June 2022 in which applications were invited for the posts of Sales Tax Inspector, Police Sub Inspector, Assistant Section Officer and other posts under the Group B category in various departments. Applications were invited for a total of 800 vacancies in the recruitment. The date of application was from 23 June to 24 July.
