Maharashtra Public Services Commission (MPSC) is going to the Civil Services Exam also known as Rajya Seva Pariksha in the upcoming days. The candidates have started filling out the application form from 2 March 2023. The last date of registration was 3 April 2023.
This test is conducted to fill out 673 vacancies of Group- A and Group- B gazetted posts. The exam which is a preliminary examination will be conducted on 4 June 2023. The MPSC Hall Ticket has been released for the examination on its official website @ mpsc.gov.in.

Selection Process
The candidates will be selected on how they perform in each test. Starting from the preliminary examination which is just a screening test. The scores of the candidates in this exam will not be added to the final merit list. The candidates are required to score 33% to give the main examination, which will have six mandatory papers. The last stage i.e personality test is for the candidates who have passed the mains examination. Through this round aspirants will be judged on their speaking skills, general knowledge, reasoning ability etc.
Civil Services Exam Pattern
Preliminary Examination – The exam will be conducted in two mandatory papers general studies and civil services aptitude. The exam will be conducted in English as well as in the Marathi language. The time given for the examination is 2 hours for each paper. Each examination is of 200 marks. Paper- 1 consists of 100 questions and paper-2 consists of 80 questions. Both exams are objective type.

Mains Examination – This exam is going to be conducted in six papers Each paper checking knowledge in that field. There is a negative marking of 1/4 for each incorrect answer.
