Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) is conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE). The exam is conducted to offer admission to eligible bright students in various undergraduate engineering, medical, and dental courses in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
JKCET is a highly competitive exam in Jammu Kashmir and a large number of students apply for it every year. Candidates need to fill out and submit the JKCET application form to appear for this entrance test. JKCT Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the JKCET exam, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria. At any stage, if it is found that the eligibility information is not appropriate, his/her candidature will be cancelled. The eligibility criteria for JKCET are as follows:
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen from any region or state.
Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized education board with Science stream i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The minimum aggregate mark required for general category candidates is at least 50%, and for reserved category candidates, it is 40%.
Age Limit: The applicants should have completed a minimum of 17 years of age as of 01st January of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit for the common entrance test.
Application Fee Details for JKCET
The applicants from all the categories are required to pay an amount of ₹1200/- as the JKCET application fee. The fee can be paid online or offline mode. For online application fee payment, credit cards, debit cards, and Net Banking can be used. Whereas for offline payment, bank challan at any of the branches of HDFC bank or Jammu & Kashmir bank can be used. The final registration process will only be completed after the successful payment of the JKCET 2023 Application Fee.
