The Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination was conducted on 30 April 2023 by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. The exam notification was published in February 2023. The exam was organised in a single shift from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM in 8 cities of Jharkhand State named Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Dumka, Chaibasa, Bokaro and Palamu.
Polytechnic Entrance Exam Overview
- The test was conducted in offline mode i.e. OMR sheet-based test.
- All the questions were objective type and carried 150 questions for 150 marks.
- The duration of the paper was 2 hours 30 minutes.
- One correct question was awarded 1 mark and for each wrong question, 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total marks.
- The language of the paper was English & Hindi.

JCECE Cut-off Marks
The cut-off marks depend on the various factors which affect the cut-off score. The factors are such as the number of students who appeared in the paper, difficulty level of the exam, number of seats available etc. The expected cut-off score has been mentioned below:

- In the first step, open the administrative portal of the board which is jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in
- On the left-hand side, click on the “Result” tab.
- Then select the examination name and search for the Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Exam result link.
- Click on it, & the result will be downloaded.
- Check your result by name and roll number.
