In DEE Assam Teachers Recruitment, there are a total of 5320 vacancies for Assistant Teachers and Science Teachers. Among a total of 5320 vacancies, 3887 vacancies of Assistant Teachers at LP Schools and 1433 vacancies of Assistant Teachers and Science Teachers at UP Schools.

DEE Assam Teacher Jobs – Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Teacher for Assam Lower Primary Schools must have passed 12th class with at least 50% marks. At the same time, applicants should have B.El.Ed or Diploma in Education with at least 50% marks. Also, applicants must have passed ATET / CTET.
• Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Teacher/Science Teacher for Upper Primary Schools must have completed graduation from UGC-recognized universities. Along with this, the applicant should possess a Diploma in Elementary Education, B.Ed (Special Education), D.Ed (Special Education) and UPS (Science and Maths). In addition, applicants should have passed ATET/CTET.

Applicant’s minimum age must be 18 years and the upper age limit for the DEE Assam Science Teacher and Assistant Teacher posts is 40 years as of 01 January 2023. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to the reserved category candidates will be given as per the state government rules.

The candidates are required to deposit a certain amount in the form of an Indian Postal Order in the name of the Director of Elementary Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati–19. Category-wise application fee details are as follows:
