Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) organises the Bihar Polytechnic examination every year. It is a state-level exam also known as Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE). This exam will be conducted for providing admission in various polytechnic courses like Polytechnic Engineering (PE), Part-time Polytechnic Engineering (PPE) & other Courses.
Generally, the examination at Bihar Polytechnic is conducted in June-July months. The exam will be conducted in pen and paper-based mode. The proposed date for Bihar Polytechnic Exam (Bihar DCECE) is 24-25 June 2023. The examination board released Bihar Polytechnic Test Admit Cards to the eligible candidates on 14 June 2023.

Bihar competitive entrance test offers admission to the students to various Government or Private Polytechnic colleges of the Bihar state. Thousands of students have registered for the common entrance test for Diploma Level Polytechnic Entrance Test this year. The students whose application forms are found valid will appear in the common entrance test in June. Students are advised to check the examination scheme and pattern for the test.
Bihar Polytechnic Level Entrance Test Examination Scheme & Pattern
- Bihar Polytechnic DCECE will be conducted for admission to diploma-level courses i.e. PE/ PPE/ PMD/ PM courses.
- The entrance test will be conducted in offline mode i.e. pen and paper-based mode.
- For PE/ PPE course, the questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. While for PM course, the questions will come from General Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology), Numerical Ability, Hindi, English and GK.
- The question paper will be asked in English & Hindi language.
- Candidates should use black & blue pens to mark the answers.
- The total number of questions in the entrance test will be 90.
- Five marks will be awarded for every correct answer marked.
- A total of 2 hours and 15 minutes will be allotted to the candidates to answer the questions.
- There is no negative marking for Bihar DCECE Exam.
