The Department of Elementary Education, Assam conducted the Teachers’ Eligibility Test on 30 April 2023 for 6 special districts of Assam state. The exam was conducted for Lower Primary Level and Upper Primary Level. TET test conducts once a year for those applicants who wish to join as a teacher in the Assam state.

The TET qualifying certificate will be valid up to for a specific time period which will be notified later by the Government.
TET Exam Analysis
- The two paper was conducted by the organisation.
- Paper 1 was for the Lower Primary Level (Class 1st to 5th) and Paper 2 was conducted for the Upper Primary Level (Class 6th to 8th).
- The time duration for each paper was 2 hours 30 minutes.
- A total of 150 questions were given in each paper.
- For any wrong answer, no mark will be deducted from the total marks.
- Each question carried one mark and the language of the questions was Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi and English.
Assam TET Cut-off Score
The cut-off score list will also be released by the department after a few days of the result declaration. The cut-off score is the minimum mark to qualify for the TET exam. Applicants who secured higher marks in the exam will be applied for the teacher post and appointed as a teacher. The expected minimum cut-off score has been discussed below:
