State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam will organize Physical Tests for Jail Warder posts soon. The board concluded application registration for these posts on 11 February 2023. The physical Tests schedule and venue will be released on the official website accordingly.

The selection of eligible candidates will be done on basis of their performance in various phases of the selection process as mentioned below:
- Physical Tests – 40 Marks
- Written Examination – 50 Marks
- NCC – 05 Marks
- Oral / Viva-voce – 05 Marks
- Total – 100 Marks
SLPRB Assam Jail Warder Physical Test Details
The board reviewed the received application forms to check eligibility. Thereafter, the candidates are called to appear in the PST (Physical Standard Test). It will be just qualifying nature. Measurement of the height, weight & chest of the candidates will be done using the latest technology and after which the candidate will be examined by a Medical Officer for preliminary check-ups like knock knee, vision test, colour blindness test, flat foot, varicose vein, physical deformities etc. Chest measurement test is only for male candidates.
Physical Efficiency Test Details
Candidates who clear PST will be required to undergo PET. The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 40 marks having 2 events viz:
- Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be called for 3200 metres race to be completed within 14 minutes (840 seconds).
- Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm for the long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered.
- Race: Those who qualify in the PST will participate in 1600 metres of race to be completed within 08 minutes.
- Long Jump: Minimum 244 cm for the long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered.
Assam SLPRB JW Written Test Details
The written test will consist of 100 multiple-choice objective-type questions. It will be an offline (OMR-based) test. Questions will be asked about the level of IX and X classes. Questions will be asked in Assamese, Bodo, English and Bengali languages. Each correct answer will be awarded half a mark i.e. the test will be 50 Marks. Questions will be asked on the following subjects:
- Elementary Arithmetic
- General English
- Logical Reasoning / Mental Ability
- Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy
- General Awareness/General Knowledge and current affairs
