State Level Police Recruitment Board of Assam conducted the physical test for Excise Constable, Jail Warder. The exam started on 1 March 2023 and has now come to a conclusion.

Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test Overview

This test is designed to check the physical fitness of the candidates and also to check whether they are eligible for this kind of post. This test is common for excise constables as well as for jail warders. But physical standards vary a little bit between the two.

But the physical efficiency test criteria for both posts are the same.

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST:- 40 Marks

The candidates are tested in two fields. First is the race and second is the long jump. Males and Females have different markings to cross.

Male-

•  Race- Those who clear PST will have to appear in a 1600 m race and complete it within 450 seconds.
•  Long Jump- A minimum of 335 cm distance has to be jumped by the candidate within 3 tries.

Female-

• Race- Those who qualify PST will have to appear in an 800 m race and complete it within 240 seconds.
• Long Jump- A minimum of 335 cm distance has to be jumped by the candidate within 3 tries.
